1. About Plantbook

 

Plantbook is an online availability and booking marketplace that connects businesses seeking plant operators (“Hirers”) with individual operators.

​

Plantbook provides a digital platform to facilitate introductions, enquiries, availability visibility, and booking requests. Plantbook is not a plant-hire company, contractor, broker, or employer and does not provide plant, operators, or services directly.

 

2. Role of Plantbook

​

Plantbook may use publicly available CPCS and NPORS licence checking tools; however, these rely on third-party data and user-provided information. Plantbook does not verify the authenticity of licences and cannot be held responsible for falsified or inaccurate details.

​

  • Plantbook acts solely as a marketplace and technology provider.

  • Plantbook does not verify, approve, certify, or validate:

  • Operator qualifications or competency

  • Insurance coverage

  • Regulatory compliance

  • Safety standards or site suitability

  • All contracts, agreements, and obligations are strictly between Hirers and Operators.

 

3. User Responsibilities

 

3.1 Suppliers

 

By listing on Plantbook, Suppliers confirm that they:

  • Are legally permitted to offer plant and/or operator services

  • Hold all required licences, certifications, insurance, and approvals

  • Are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards

  • Ensure the accuracy of listings, availability, and information provided

  • PlantBook accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or validity of Supplier information.

 

3.2 Hirers

 

By using Plantbook, Hirers acknowledge that they are solely responsible for:

 

  • Verifying operator competence, certifications, and licences

  • Confirming insurance coverage and compliance

  • Ensuring site safety and suitability

  • Conducting any required due diligence prior to hire or booking

  • Plantbook does not assess whether a Supplier or Operator is suitable for a specific job or site.

 

4. Bookings and Agreements

 

  • All bookings, hire agreements, and service contracts are made directly between Hirers and Suppliers

  • Plantbook is not a party to any agreement formed

  • Payment terms, cancellation terms, and disputes are governed by agreements between Hirer and Operator unless otherwise stated

  • Plantbook does not guarantee performance, or completion of any hire or service.

 

5. Fees and Subscriptions

 

5.1 Subscriptions

 

Suppliers may be required to pay a recurring subscription fee to list and receive enquiries. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles are outlined at the point of purchase.

 

5.2 Premium Placements & Leads

 

PlantBook may offer:

 

  • Sponsored listings

  • Featured placements

  • Fees paid do not guarantee bookings, conversions, or outcomes

 

6. Platform Availability

 

Plantbook aims to provide reliable access but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

 

Plantbook shall not be liable for losses arising from downtime or access issues.

 

7. Liability Disclaimer

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

 

Plantbook is not liable for:

 

  • Injury, loss, or damage arising from plant or operator use

  • Regulatory breaches or enforcement actions

  • Misrepresentation by users

  • Disputes between Hirers and Operators

 

Users agree that Plantbook’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the fees paid to PlantBook in the preceding 12 months.

 

8. Indemnity

 

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plantbook from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

 

  • Their use of the platform

  • Breach of these terms

  • Any agreement or interaction with another user

 

9. Termination

 

Plantbook may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion, including for:

 

  • Misuse of the platform

  • False or misleading information

  • Non-payment of fees

  • Breach of these terms

  • Continuous  breach of Plantbook values and none attending committed contracts.

 

10. Intellectual Property

 

All platform content, branding, and software are owned by Plantbook. Users may not copy, reproduce, or misuse platform materials without permission.

 

11. Changes to Terms

 

Plantbook may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

 

12. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
